Food likes and dislikes
This has to be a common one - you are sure to have heard many a pregnant woman talk about really liking or even dreaming about a certain food during pregnancy - while turning up their noses at some foods - its almost like natures way of helping with your diet - food cravings are not uncommon either - again like most other pregnancy symptoms - food cravings
can be linked to hormonal changes — especially in the first trimester, when hormone changes are the most dramatic.

Pregnancy Heartburn
Pregnancy heartburn is a very common pregnancy symptom - also known as pysoris - it can begin in early pregnancy - and can become more noticeable as the weeks go by - some think that hair on the baby’s head might be the cause ! - but its more likely to be caused by acid reflux - and reflux is more likely to happen when you are pregnant since food moves more slowly through the intestines and the stomach can change shape as the uterus grows - its advisable to eat small meals more frequently - and avoid (if possible) lying flat or bending over - whatever you do don’t eat a large dinner and lie down right away ! - in fact its probably best not to eat too late either.

Higher basal body temperature
Your basal body temperature is your oral (mouth) temperature in the morning when you first wake up - the basal temperature increases slightly soon after ovulation and remains at that level until the next period - a pregnant woman who uses natural family planning and

The hormones raging through your body in early pregnancy can make you highly emotional and teary - mood swings are common - particularly in the first trimester.

Pregnancy Symptom l.

Nausea: with or without vomiting
Nausea or morning sickness - this is a common pregnancy symptom - and may start at around 2 weeks after conception - in early pregnancy there can be rapidly rising levels of estrogen in your pregnant body - and this may cause the stomach to empty more slowly.

Pregnancy Symptom n.

Slight bleeding
Some women may experience a small amount of spotting or vaginal bleeding - this can be one of the first symptoms of pregnancy - often known as implantation bleeding - this occurs when the fertilized egg attaches to the lining of the uterus — about 10 to 14 days after fertilization - the difference between this bleeding and a period is that it normally happens a bit earlier - is spottier - and lighter in color than a typical period - it also doesn’t last as long.

Pregnancy Symptom o.

Sore breasts
Breast pain can be one of the first signs of pregnancy - as soon as two weeks after conception - changes in hormones may make your breasts uncomfortable - tender - sore - or bigger.

OK - so do any of the above pregnancy symptoms mean that you or someone you know is pregnant ? Are you still asking yourself, “Am I Pregnant” ?

You can have pregnancy symptoms and not be pregnant - however, if you have missed a period or identify with any of the above list of pregnancy symptoms you may want to consider taking a home pregnancy test — if your home pregnancy test is positive, make sure you make an appointment with your doctor, a nurse practitioner or midwife - the sooner you know if you are pregnant or not the sooner you can start prenatal care.
